The Gym Glasgow South

The Sports Direct Fitness Center in Argyle Street is a large facility with most kinds of training equipment available. They have indoor cycling studios and dedicated areas for running, yoga, circuit training, and weights. On-site services include physiotherapy, injury treatment, and weight loss management. You can even get personal trainers here if you’re into that kind of thing! Parking is at a premium, so it’s best to bike or carpool if possible. But it’s not as convenient to walk to since it’s right off a busy street. They offer plenty of classes like Pilates and Zumba! Even prenatal pilates!

Sports Direct Fitness Glasgow Argyle Street

The cost may be above average, but you’ll get what you pay for at Sports Direct Fitness. The staff here have great knowledge on how to help you reach your goals and can design a program for all experience levels. A bonus is that most of their equipment has built-in televisions, so it’s easy to watch your favorite show while still keeping an eye on your pulse (and not missing out on too much of Game of Thrones). Additionally, they are open early in case you need to squeeze in a workout before work. With multiple locations around town, including Bearsden and Edinburgh, they’re convenient whether you live south or north of the Clyde.

The Gym Glasgow Bothwell Street

It is one of the most recommended gyms in Glasgow. The Gym has everything you could want from a gym, making it one of those places you’ll never dread going to. As far as facilities go, there are tons of things to do and lots of equipment that you can use. A lot of people come here for classes and personal training sessions, but there are also just as many people who come here simply to exercise on their own with no specific plan or routine in mind. It’s an ideal location for everyone, so if you live anywhere near Glasgow city centre then it’s definitely worth checking out!

Arlington Baths Club

Located just a short walk from Kelvingrove Park, Arlington Baths Club is one of the best gyms in Glasgow. You’ll never need to worry about not having enough equipment or machines to use here, as there are more than 25 available for all members. This has led to it being ranked among some of the top gyms in Scotland for over 50 years! If you’re looking for a gym that doesn’t only offer great facilities but also a fantastic location, then look no further than Arlington Baths Club. (TripAdvisor Rating: 4 Stars)

PureGym Glasgow Bath Street

Visit PureGym on Bath Street in downtown Glasgow, and you’ll find one of their top-of-the-line modern gyms, all part of a larger, nationwide chain that values affordable memberships and state-of-the-art equipment over fluffy towels and saunas. It’s a great gym for those who want to get fit or stay fit (and often do both at once), especially given its a high number of cardio machines, free weights, and bodybuilding machines. The facility also boasts one of their trademark-friendly staff that are always more than happy to answer any questions about exercise technique or nutrition.

Extreme Gym

This is one of our top 10 gyms in Glasgow because it is close to our office on Hope Street. It provides great workouts and has a lovely pool, steam room, and jacuzzi. The staff are very helpful too and provide you with advice on which classes to take or whether they think you would be better off at a different gym. If you haven’t joined a gym before or are new to fitness, then I recommend Extreme Gym. This is one of our tops in Glasgow because it is close to our office on Hope Street. Virgin Active at Braehead

Planet Fitness (PF) is a commercial gym franchise with over 900 locations worldwide. PF is home to one of Europe’s largest commercial gym chains, with gyms in Canada and Australia in most American states. PF has over 70 locations in Europe, but none in Scotland or Ireland yet. This location recently opened on Cathedral Street in central Glasgow and is PF’s only location currently open in Scotland or Ireland. Because it is a franchise, there are no membership contracts to sign up for—making it one of many cheap gyms in Glasgow. Facilities: Planet Fitness’ main strength lies with its 24-hour access; you can use any of their state-of-the-art facilities at any time of day or night.

Planet Fitness [Glasgow] – Cathedral Street

When you’re looking for a gym that won’t set you back financially, then Planet Fitness could be just what you need. Not only do they have all of your classic weight machines but also a number of cardio machines and classes, including Pilates, Spinning, and Circuit Training. And don’t worry if it’s been years since your last workout as their staff is always available to help out and provide training to anyone who is new to exercise or hasn’t exercised in a while. And if that isn’t enough to make you sign up, then it’s right by Fortnums, so when you start to feel hungry after working out (and trust us, you will), then there’s no excuse not to grab yourself something delicious!

Crunch Gym [Glasgow] – Rose Street

The Gym on Rose Street is one of our favorite options in central Glasgow. It’s close to Queen Street Station, has a great variety of equipment, and a fantastic café serving healthy snacks that are free for members. Additionally, it offers both 24-hour opening and childcare, so if you like to go to bed early but still have time in your schedule before then, or you have kids under 14 with you who might need some supervision while you workout, it’s an excellent choice. The prices are also extremely competitive compared to other gyms in Glasgow. For just £26 a month, you can use all of their facilities as often as your heart desires.
